Anela is an instructor, performer, and choreographer of Middle Eastern Dance Fusion based in Pittsburgh, PA. Inspired by a performance at a local renaissance festival, she was instantly captivated with the art form and hasn’t stopped shimmying since her first lesson several years ago. She is humbled and honored to have the opportunity to share her fusion of traditional elements with modern style with the community. Anela performs multiple styles and has thrilled audiences with skirts, canes, single sword, and double swords.

As a founding dancer of Berna’s student troupe La Belle Sultana, she is ecstatic to step in to the director’s chair. La Belle Sultana performs at numerous community and charitable events throughout the region including the Pittsburgh Children’s Festival and the Silk Screen Red Carpet Gala. Her fellow dancers continue to inspire her with their dedication to the dance and the troupe.

She currently teaches weekly classes at Bodiography Center for Movement in Squirrel Hill.
